New medical center in Cedar Rapids brings several specialties under one roof

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

People got a sneak peak at a new medical complex in Cedar Rapids Saturday. The Physicians Clinic of Iowa Medical Pavilion will be home to more than 100 doctors.

The medical and surgical care center has experts in more than 20 specialties. Physicians say the one-stop shop makes it easier to do same day testing, like an MRI or cat scan.

They say this will make it easier on patients.

"Coordination and convenience are probably the major benefits for patients because they can see multiple providers on the same day, so they don't have to travel back and forth," said Ryan Dempewolf, Otolaryngologist.

The new facility is located at 211 10th St. SE, between St. Luke's Hospital and Mercy Medical Center. It opens to patients April 15th.
