Noelridge Greenhouse Easter Showcase marks 41 years

It's an Easter tradition 41 years in the making. This weekend marked the annual Noelridge Greenhouse Easter Showcase in Cedar Rapids.

Right now the greenhouse is only selling house plants but visitors were able to walk through, look at the plants and get ideas for their own spring gardens.

Workers even decorated for the holiday, placing bunnies and eggs in the plants.

"We've got a lot of different varieties that not everybody carries," said Lori Farmer, Greenhouse Worker. "We take a lot of flowers by cutting and so we have varieties and we label them so that they can write them down, or a lot of them take pictures of them so that they have record to go home and look for them."

Noelridge Greenhouse also hosts a Mother's Day open house each year.

Workers say they'll have more plants for sale that weekend.
