Posted:
CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

Just one day after ----Fred Hoi berg agrees to a ten year deal to stay at Iowa State---

Northern Iowa head basketball coach Ben Jacobson signed on the dotted line to stay with the Panthers through 2023.

UNI Athletic Director Toy Dunne says the new deal adds three more years on to Jacobson's existing contract-- and will maintain his $525-thousand dollar base salary along with annual 25-thousand dollar raises. And there are other incentives built into the contract..

And the new deal also takes Jacobson off the market for coaching vacancies.

Tomorrow night the Panthers host Weber State in the semifinal round of the CIT at the McLeod Center.
