Slick roads cause several crashes in Cedar Valley


Light snow has caused some slick spots on area roads with several crashes reported and some highways shut down for a while.

As of 8:15 p.m., many roadways in eastern Iowa either partially or mostly covered with snow, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation.

Several crashes have been reported on Highways 218, 58 and 20, as well as I-380 in Black Hawk County.

Highway 20 westbound had to be closed for a while due to a number of crashes.
