The investigation for a 22-year-old shot by a Waterloo Police Officer is still ongoing, but family and friends of Derrick Ambrose Jr. are demanding justice now.
Around 70 individuals marched from Waterloo's Sullivan Park to City Hall to protest what they believe was police murder. While in front of Waterloo City Hall, which houses the police department, protesters released balloons and spoke in memory of Ambrose.
Officers say Ambrose was pointing a gun at a crowd of people and shot Ambrose after an ensuing chase.
