IOWA CITY (KWWL) -
A former University of Iowa radiologist has filed a petition asking a judge to reinstate him to his former position at the university.
Malik Juweid was fired in August 2011 after being placed on leave for disruptive behavior in the workplace. UI officials accused him of harassing his former co-workers.
According to our coverage partners at Iowa City Press-Citizen, Juweid argues UI president Sally Mason and assistant attorney general George Carroll had a conflict of interest when they relieved him of his position.
President Mason was a defendant in his whistle blowing lawsuit against the university. He argues Caroll also had a conflict of interest because he represented her in that case.
