CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

The trial for a Cedar Rapids man accused of stabbing a cab driver to death has been delayed to October.

The trial for 35-year-old Johnathan Mitchell, which was scheduled to begin in April, is now scheduled to begin on October 8 in Story County.

Mitchell faces first degree murder and robbery charges after authorities say he stabbed 54-year-old Cathy Stickley to death during a robbery on April 29, 2011.

This will be the second trial in this case. The first attempt ended in a mistrial in August because the prosecutor had a serious medical condition.
