Winter weather prompts Sundown Mountain to stay open a little longer

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Mother Nature's latest round of winter weather has prompted Sundown Ski Resort in Dubuque to stay open a little later this year.

The last day of the season was supposed to be St. Patrick's Day, but people at Sundown say there's a fresh 4 inches of snow on the ground.

That means they'll open up the slopes again this Thursday through Sunday.

Hours will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Lift tickets will be $28 each, and a lift ticket plus rental will be $44.
