KANSAS CITY (KWWL) -

Revenge didn't happen for the Iowa State Cyclones.  7th ranked Kansas used a second half surge to power them past Iowa State 88-73.

Perry Ellis scored a career high 23 points, while Jeff Withey and Elijah Johnson each added 14 for the Jayhawks in the victory.

Iowa State, meanwhile, missed their first six 3-pointers of the second half.  Kansas took advantage going on a 20-8 run to take control of the game.

Georges Niang scored 19 for Iowa State.  The Cyclones still appear to be in good shape to receive an NCAA bid on Sunday.
