Jury deliberates in southeast Iowa murder case

The fate of a southeast Iowa man accused of killing his pregnant wife in now in the hands of a jury.

Seth Techel is on trial for murdering his wife, Lisa Techel, in May at their home near Agency in Wapello County.

Both worked in law enforcement. Lisa was a reserve deputy and Seth was a jailer.

On Monday, attorneys wrapped up final arguments. Prosecutors say Seth wanted to end his marriage but feared alienation from his wife's father, a sheriff's deputy.

Techel's lawyers suggests a neighbor may have killed Lisa.
