DES MOINES (KWWL) -

Another Democrat might be throwing his name in the race for Congressman Bruce Braley's seat next year.

Democratic Senator Steve Sodders of State Center said he's thinking about running for the 1st Congressional District seat.

Sodders is a Marshall County Sheriff's deputy, and in his second term in the Iowa State Senate.

He joins former Iowa Speaker of the House Democrat Pat Murphy.

On the Republican side, Cedar Rapids businessman Steve Rathje has filed papers to run for the seat.

Congressman Steve King said he's interested in running, but King said he won't rush his decision.
