Marion High School students hear about job opportunities

On Thursday, students at Marion High School talk to area employers about careers concerning math and science.

It's part of the Marion STEM Day event.

STEM concerns business and school studies concerned with science, technology, engineering and math. 

15 local businesses are speaking to students including representatives from Cedar Rapids businesses Rockwell Collins, Penford Products  and other Marion businesses such as Marion Physical Therapy PC and the Marion Police Department. 

Thursday's presentations will go until 2:45 p.m.
