Investigators are asking for the public's help in obtaining information and possible stolen items related to the homicide of a Nashua man back in October.
The Chickasaw County Sheriff's Office was called to the home of 70-year-old Carl "Kenny" Gallmeyer on October 4, 2012 for a welfare check.
When they arrived, deputies found Gallmeyer dead inside his home. His death has been ruled a homicide, but the official cause of death has not been released in order to preserve the investigation.
Investigators say Gallmeyer's home was burglarized at the time of his death and are asking anyone who may have unknowingly bought property stolen from Gallmeyer to contact law enforcement. Also, if you know anyone who tried to sell electronics, tools or firearms in late September or early October, contact law enforcement.
The Division of Criminal Investigation says anyone who provides information regarding the stolen property will not face prosecution for receiving or buying stolen property. They are focused on the murder investigation.
