IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Though all of the precincts  the Johnson County Board of Supervisors position was not quite wrapped up Tuesday night.

The race, while leaning toward the Republican John Etheredge, is too close to call at this point and will likely be decided after the official canvass.

Etheredge has an unofficial vote lead of 192 votes over Democrat Terry Dahms, 3,141 to 2,949, but absentee ballots and the official count will officially decide the 51% to 48% race.

Nearly 6,100 voters turned out, or 6.65 percent of registered voters in Johnson County, according to the Johnson County auditor's office.

Etheredge will be the first Republican elected to the Johnson County board of Supervisors since 1962.
