ASBURY (KWWL) -

An Asbury man has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge in connection with the shooting of his father.

Anthony Podnar pleaded guilty plea Thursday to willful injury with a dangerous weapon.

The reduced charge is part of a plea deal that includes other gun charges.

Podnar was arrested in 2012 after police say Anthony's father, Adam Podnar, drove to a gas station and reported being shot in the stomach. He was treated at a hospital and was later released.

Last month, Podnar pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempted murder.

Podnar's sentencing is scheduled for Monday.
