Grundy County accident injures two from Waterloo

GRUNDY COUNTY (KWWL) -

The Grundy County Sheriff's Office said a Thursday morning accident on Highway 20 sent two people to the hospital.

Kasandra Kahler, 23, of Waterloo, was headed east on Highway 20 about a mile west of Highway 14 just after midnight when she lost control on the slick road, went into the ditch and hit a sign post, according to Grundy County Sheriff Rick Penning.

Kahler and her passenger, Kylie Jo Smedley, 23, of Waterloo, were taken to Covenant Medical Center.

The accident remains under investigation.
