Evening Weekday Anchor

MAIN EVENING WEEKDAY ANCHOR: TOP 90 MARKET

KWWL, the legacy NBC station serving Eastern Iowa, has a rare opening for a main evening anchor.

The next person to sit next to Ron Steele on our anchor desk will be an accomplished television journalist first and foremost, with significant experience anchoring and producing great, memorable stories that connect with viewers.

We're looking for a competitive communicator with polished live ad lib skills and a burning desire to win. The person we select will be someone who wants to make a long-term commitment to this community.

Our next anchor will be someone who not only loves news, but also relishes representing the station at community events. In addition to writing, anchoring and producing content for our web and social platforms, you'll be a newsroom leader who leads by example through newsroom editorial skills and anchoring excellence.

KWWL is located in the Cedar Valley, an award-winning region for business growth, education, tech and raising a family. The station serves a 21-county DMA which includes Waterloo, Dubuque, Iowa City and Cedar Rapids. The University of Northern Iowa and the University of Iowa are the major educational institutions in our market.

KWWL has a rich history of leadership in Eastern Iowa, including dozens of awards for journalistic excellence. If you think you have what it takes to join our team, send your resume and video to:
