CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

Grammy Award-winning country trio Lady Antebellum will launch the grand reopening of the U.S. Cellular Center.

The Center closed in June 2011 for an extensive remodel and update.

"I am excited that we will host artists of this caliber when the new U.S. Cellular Center arena opens in June," Cedar Rapids Mayor Ron Corbett said in a written statement. "This is just the beginning of the success we will experience with our brand-new convention center."

The grand reopening concert will be June 1 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets go on sale March 8 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena, all Ticketmaster outlets, charge by phone by calling 1-800-745-3000 or by visiting www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets range from $36.50 to $150.

The Cedar Rapids Convention Complex includes the revamped arena, an updated hotel that will open as a Double Tree by Hilton, a new exhibit hall, ballrooms and meeting rooms.

City leaders expect the new complex to attract more than 375,000 visitors per year who will spend $22.8 million per year. The expect it to have an economic impact of more than $34 million per year.

After years of ownership changes, the city purchased the hotel part of the complex in late 2010 and then partnered with Hilton in hopes of revitalizing downtown Cedar Rapids.
