Waverly-Shell Rock girls storm past Winterset in to semifinals

Aftin Phyfe led the way as Waverly-Shell Rock stormed out to an early lead and never looked back in a 67-45 win over Winterset to open the girl's 4A tournament.

Phyfe led the way scoring 19 points.  The Go-Hawks also had success from behind the arc hitting 5 of 9 three point attempts.  Three of those came from Naomi Phillips who added 17 points in the victory.

Waverly-Shell Rock got things going early rolling to a 24-7 lead in the first quarter.  The Go-Hawks never trailed in the game.  They advance to Thursday's semifinals against Harlan.
