Pedicabs coming to Cedar Rapids

Posted:
CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

It's official. Pedicabs can start operating in Cedar Rapids.

The Cedar Rapids City Council changed the city code after a couple of residents contacted the council, interested in operating a pedicab business during the summer.

The pedicabs will only be allowed to operate in a boundary set by the council. That boundary surrounds downtown Cedar Rapids.

The residents will have to get a license to operate and pay operation fees to the city.
