Linn County under tow ban

LINN COUNTY (KWWL) -

As snow covers Eastern Iowa, roads have become hazardous for drivers.

That includes tow trucks.

That's why the Linn County Sheriff has issued a tow ban for the county.

Unless a vehicle poses an immediate danger, it will not be towed until road conditions improve.

Some residents of southeast Waverly are a little nervous, as the waters of the Cedar River move toward a crest in the next 24 hours.
The City of Waverly says the river is receding and previousily closed roads are starting to open.
