Land-line 911, long distance in Bellevue and Lamotte down

JACKSON COUNTY (KWWL) -

Land line 911 and long distance for exchange numbers 872 in Bellevue and 773 in Lamotte and St. Donatus are down.

The Jackson County Emergency Management recommends residents use a cell phone for 911 emergency calls. 

For 872 exchange numbers call the Bellevue Police department at 872-4545. Residents who use the 773 exchange are asked to call 773-2345. 

Officials say technicians are working overnight to resolve the problem, and it could be working again sometime between 8 a.m. and noon Tuesday.
