UNI struggles in a 63-57 loss to Denver

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

Bracketbuster Saturday was unkind to the UNI Panthers as they'd fall to Denver 63-57.

The Panthers opened the game on hot streak jumping out to a quick 12-2 lead, but a 16-0 run by the Pioneers would give Denver a 7 point lead at the halftime break.

UNI pulled within one on a few occasions in the second half, but never led over the final 20 minutes of the game.

Seth Tuttle scored 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting, pulled five rebounds and had three assists to lead Northern Iowa (17-12).  The loss snapped a 6 game winning streak by the Panthers.
