WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Waterloo police arrested two suspects after a chase during the snow storm Thursday night.

Captain Tim Pillack says officers tried to stop a car in the area of Logan Avenue and Edwards Street at around 11:15 p.m. Thursday.

Pillack says the driver refused to stop and a short chase ensued, but was soon ended due to the poor driving conditions.

About a minute later, police say they came across the same vehicle in a ditch in the area of Burton Avenue and Broadway Street.

Officers were able to locate the two suspects after following footprints in the snow.

The driver, Richard Sturdivant, 25, is charged with eluding police, driving while barred, possession of marijuana and interference with official acts.

The passenger, Quon Lewis Cooper, 20, is charged with interference with official acts.
