UNI students to participate in safety simulations

The University of Northern Iowa will hold an interactive safety event for students Wednesday afternoon.

The event, titled "UNI I am Making Safe Decisions!" will be at the wellness and recreation center on campus. The event is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

Students will be able to participate in interactive safety simulations. There will be simulations established concerning driving while intoxicated, and a computerized, virtual bar.

The free event will also have giveaways and prizes.
