Two adults and two kids were taken to Allen Hospital after a semi and two cars collided at the intersection of Logan Avenue and Donald Street in Waterloo on Tuesday evening.
Captain Tim Pillack says a semi driven by 39-year-old Jimmy Parrish of Russellville, Alabama was headed south on Logan Avenue just after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday and was not able to stop when the traffic light turned red. Pillack says Parrish sounded his air horn as he continued through the intersection, but collided with a car driven by 52-year-old Thomas Butler of Waterloo, which was headed east on Donald Street.
Police say another car, driven by 29-year-old Sabrina Lee, was headed west on Donald Street and collided with the semi.
Butler, Lee and two kids in the Lee vehicle were all taken to Allen Hospital. Pillack says Lee was ejected from her car.
Parrish was ticketed for failure to obey a traffic control device.
