WAVERLY (KWWL) -

Waverly-Shell Rock opened 3A Boys Substate Basketball with a 61-43 victory over Charles City. It's the Go-Hawks' 15th straight win with their last lost coming back in December to the Comets.

Waverly-Shell Rock jumped to a 12-0 lead to start the game. The Go-Hawks led 29-15 at halftime and were never seriously threatened.
