Former Iowa college student sentenced for sexual assault

A former University of Iowa student now knows how much time he will spend in jail after sexually assaulting another student in 2010.

20-year-old Evan Pfeifer of Lake Barrington, Illinois was sentenced Friday.

He must also register as a sex offender.

Authorities say the victim was 19 when Pfeifer assaulted her the morning of Oct. 3, 2010, after a football game the day before.

The victim told police it happened as she was walking back to her dorm from a party.

Pfeifer faces up to ten years in prison.
