Denver-Tripoli's Sorenson wins 4th title

Denver-Tripoli senior Brandon Sorenson etched his name among the greats Saturday night.  Sorenson defeated Zach Muller of West Delaware 7-4 to win the 4th state wrestling title of his career.  Sorenson's win capped a perfect 55-0 season.

The match never seemed in doubt as Sorenson recorded the only 2 takedowns of the first period to jump out to a 4-1 lead.  Sorenson pulled off a successful shot midway through the second and added a 3rd period escape for the historic win.

Creston senior Jake Marlin also picked his fourth win as the overall list of 4-timers would grow to 43 on Saturday night.
