Cedar Rapids Xavier jumped to a 21-10 first quarter lead and held off a late Waterloo East rally to beat the Trojans 62-53 Tuesday night in Waterloo. East was led by Desmond Vanarsdale with 16 points while Xavier was led by Adam McDermick with 17 points and Calvin Winker 14.
