State trooper's burglary trial moved to Waterloo

WEST UNION (KWWL) -

The trial for a former state trooper accused of burglarizing a female's home has been moved to Waterloo.

Mikel Yauk is accused of entering a woman's house in West Union during October of 2011 with the intent to commit sexual abuse.

He is charged with first-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools.

Yauk's attorney has argued that the publicity of this case would make it hard for him to get a fair trial.

His trial has been moved to Black Hawk County.
