A new study examines the dosage of Vitamin D for African American and Caucasian when battling a deficiency.
Researchers find that African American women tend to have lower levels of Vitamin D but they found that they absorbed and metabolized Vitamin D supplements the same way as Caucasian women.
This means that black women don't need to take larger doses of Vitamin D to compensate these lower levels.
Experts say they should follow current medical guidelines.
