ISU's Blaskowsky, Big 12 Rookie of the Week

Iowa State guard Kidd Blaskowsky has earned Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors along with Texas' Imani McGee-Stafford. It is the second honor of Blaskowsky's career. Odyssey Sims (Baylor) and Nicole Griffin (Oklahoma) were named the league's players of the week.

 
Blaskowsky, a Sugar Land, Texas native, shot 60 percent from the field and averaged 8.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists to help the Cyclones go 2-0 last week. She hit on 4-of-7 threes and finished with 12 points and a career-high tying eight rebounds in Iowa State's win over K-State. She also had a career-high five assists. Blaskowsky had five points and five board on 2-of-3 shooting at Texas.
 
Blaskowsky and the Cyclones are back in action Thursday night at Oklahoma.
