CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

Bald eagles caught the attention of eastern Iowans today.

Bird lovers spent part of the day outside searching for bald eagles.

The U-A Army Corps of Engineers at Coralville Lake held the bald eagle watch today.

Some of the birds you could see easily, and for those that were farther away or just hidden in the trees, there were telescopes set up to help spot the majestic birds.

Indoor events with exhibits and speakers also took place in Coralville as part of the eagle watch.
