CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -
Some eastern Iowa couples celebrated Valentine's Day a little early.
120 couples renewed their vows during ceremonies at three different Hy-Vee stores in Cedar Rapids today.
All received a wedding bouquet, cake, photo, a toast, and a dance to celebrate their marriage.
Several couples said they heard an announcement while shopping at the store and thought it would be a fun, stress-free way to celebrate their love.
"It was just kind a stressful time in my life and so it was nice to come back and have a moment without all the craziness and just really enjoy each other," said Kymson and Rianna Brazee, who have been married 3 years.
"We're still in love, we're still together, so it's a good time to do it with no stress," said Mark and Heidi Gouthro, who have been married 18 years.
Couples had to pre-register for the vow renewal ceremony. Hy-vee chose the winners, who got to participate for free.
