WATERLOO (KWWL) -
A Waterloo man enters a not guilty plea to charges related to his baby daughter's death.
Trevor Smith, 27, now of Iowa Falls, entered written not guilty pleas last week.
Prosecutors say Smith was caring for his 2-month-old daughter, Aubriana Jo Christian, when she stopped breathing.
She died Oct. 2 after being removed from life support. Doctors says the girl's brain bleed was not caused by an accident.
Smith's trial is scheduled for April 2 on charges of first-degree murder and child endangerment causing death.
