Panthers shake off cold shooting to drop Missouri State 48-37

UNI shot just 28% in the first half, but used a 16-2 run in the second to take down Missouri State 48-37.  The Bears' 37 points was their lowest total in a Missouri Valley Conference game since 2001.  Missouri State failed reach 20 points in either half.

Midway through the second half, MSU (7-17, 5-7 MVC) took a 29-26 lead after 3 straight buckets from Christian Kirk.  UNI (13-11, 6-6 MVC), who had hit just 8 of 29 shots at that point, turned things around hitting 8 of their final 11.  The Panthers outscored the Bears 22-8 over the final 10 minutes to pull out the victory.

Anthony James led the UNI effort with 14 points, while Jake Koch added 11.  The Panthers travel to Bradley on Sunday.
