Family safely escapes house fire

DURANGO (KWWL) -

A family of seven escaped a house fire on Monday, but their home is destroyed.

Firefighters were called to 14628 Burtons Furnace Road at 6:15 p.m.

Everyone was able to get out safely.

The Dubuque County Sheriff's Office says the fire is believed to have started in an attached garage before it moved to the house. The house is considered to be a total loss.
