Decorah's Jewell commits to Iowa Hawkeye Football

DECORAH (KWWL) -

One of the top high school football players in the state, Decorah senior Josey Jewell, has verbally committed to play football at the University of Iowa.

This past year, Jewell helped lead the Vikings to the Class 3A State championship in football after a runner-up finish in 2011.

Jewell earned all-state honors both seasons while amassing 3240 yards rushing and 42 touchdowns as a fullback and 310 total tackles as a linebacker.
