CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -
Anthony James scored a team high 18 as UNI used a big second half run to knock off 15th ranked Wichita State 57-52.
Seth Tuttle had eight points, eight rebounds and four blocks for the Panthers (12-11, 5-6 Missouri Valley Conference).
Midway through the second half, UNI took control on a 14-0 run spurred by 3 straight buckets from James. The Panthers turned a 4 point deficit into a 46-36 lead. Wichita State pulled within 2 with 1:06 remaining on a lay up by Carl Hall, but the Panthers hit their free throws down the stretch to keep the game out of reach.
The win was especially big as UNI was 0-5 in their previous 5 games decided by fewer than 6 points.
