BLACK HAWK COUNTY (KWWL) -
A Waterloo man faces charges after leading authorities on a high speed chase in Black Hawk County.
It started around 2:00 a.m. Saturday when a Black Hawk County Sheriff's deputy stopped a vehicle at Holmes and Schrock Road near Hudson.
The vehicle stopped at first, but then the driver fled the scene.
The deputy pursued in a high speed chase. That chase ended when the vehicle failed to navigate a turn onto Kimball Avenue from Schrock Road and ended up in a cornfield.
Authorities arrested 26-year-old Nicholas Clough.
Clough faces several charges, including driving while intoxicated and felony eluding police charges.
