Man charged in 2011 mobile home fire

BENTON COUNTY (KWWL) -

A man is accused of starting a home on fire, while his wife and two children were inside.

The fire happened in October 2011 at Timber Ridge Trailer Court, south of Shellsburg. Deputies just arrested 40-year-old Darrell Abbot on Saturday in Iowa CIty.

Abbott is charged with Arson in the first degree, two counts of Child Endangerment and Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree.

He's being held in the Benton County Jail on a $ 25,000.00 bond.
