LA PORTE CITY (KWWL) -

A dog was injured in a La Porte City garage fire Monday morning.

Crews were called to a home in the 1200 block of South Street at around 9:00 a.m. Monday.

A cause has not been identified, but it's believed to have started in the area of the dog's kennel.

The dog is expected to be ok.
