Rep. Bruce Braley is considering a run for U.S. Senate in 2014.  In an interview, Rep. Braley told KWWL News this weekend, he is being encouraged to run and is discussing with his family whether to enter the race.  "Running for a statewide office is a very serious consideration. I'm going to sit down with my family and talk about it. I've had a large number of people reach out to me since the announcement was made encouraging me to consider running but it's a very important decision so I'm going to be taking my time and giving it thoughtful consideration and at some point, make a decision," said Rep. Braley.
