Linn County accident send one to hospital

LINN COUNTY (KWWL) -

An accident on County Home Road in Linn County sent one person to the hospital on Tuesday.

Sergeant David Omar says a pick-up truck driven by 30-year-old Brandon Deverell of Cedar Rapids was headed east on County Home Road, about a quarter-mile west of Highway 13, at about 4:00 p.m. when he changed lanes and collided with a car driven by 22-year-old Samantha Beck of Central City.

Beck had to be taken to Mercy Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.  Deverell and his passenger were not hurt.

Omar says Deverell was cited for careless driving.

The crash remains under investigation.
