Woman arrested in Fayette Co. after license suspended 27 times

FAYETTE COUNTY (KWWL) -

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office says they arrested a woman after her driver's license was suspended 27 times.

Deputies say 29-year-old Amal Al-Yassiri drove to jail on Saturday to visit an inmate.  While she was there, they learned that her Iowa driver's license was suspended 27 times.

Al-Yassiri was arrested and charged with 27 counts of driving while license suspended.

She was held in the Fayette County Jail pending her initial appearance.
