CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

Cedar Rapids police are ruling an unattended death as a homicide, following the state medical examiner's report.

Officers responded to 107 Gas Light Court SW on Friday, January 18 and found the body of 90-year-old Matthew Owen.

The case remains under investigation, but police say they do not believe this is a random incident. Investigators add that they believe Owen knew the person who killed him.
