Jessica Jean Wilharm
IOWA CITY (KWWL) -
A Lenox woman is accused of biting a nurse at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Police say 36-year-old Jessica Jean Wilharm, a patient at UIHC, became upset on Wednesday morning because doctor's were not giving her enough medication.
Staff told police that Wilharm said she "might as well attack someone" so she could go to jail and then told a nurse that she was going to kill her.
The criminal complaint says that while staff was trying to restrain Wilharm, she then bit a nurse who had to be treated for the injury.
Staff told police that Wilharm then said, "Oh poor baby, did poor baby get hurt?"
Wilharm is charged with assault on peace officers/others and assault causing injury on peace officers/others.
