Sketches of high school renovation plans released

The Western Dubuque School Board has released the sketches of the upcoming renovations at Western Dubuque and Cascade High School.

Superintendent Jeff Corkery says the two $7.5 million dollar projects still need to be finalized, but he says he is 95 percent sure thiswill be the final plan.

The architects are expected to finalize the projects in thenext two weeks.

Western Dubuque will beadding a 795 seat auditorium as well as a music room, vocal room and office.Cascade's renovations include a two-tiered gymnasium, seating1,200, as well asa music room and office.

Corkery expects bids to go out in April and hopes construction will start in June.
