Three Waterloo teens arrested after robbery of delivery driver

Waterloo police say three Waterloo teens have been arrested after a 60-year-old pizza delivery driver was assaulted and robbed on Tuesday night.

Captain Tim Pillack says officers were called to the Pizza Hut at 714 La Porte Road at about 10:45 p.m. Tuesday night for a report of a robbery.

The victim told police that he was making a delivery to an address in the 1000 block of Leavitt Street when he was flagged down by people at an apartment building at 1014 Leavitt Street.

The driver told officers that he followed the people upstairs to get payment for the pizzas when he was hit in the back of the head and robbed of the pizzas.

Pillack says three teenage boys, ages 15, 16 and 17, were arrested after the investigation.

All three are charged with first degree robbery.
